Losing a Pet is Losing Family

Losing your pet is incredibly difficult. Pets aren't simply animals who share our homes — they are part of our routines, our families, and our lives. Their personalities, quirks, habits, and the countless little moments we shared with them become memories we carry long after they're gone.

I lost my Apollo, an 8yo Chocolate Lab in September 2026. I wanted a place to pay tribute, reflect on and remember his life. When the time came to honor him I was left with no good options. Social media posts fade from view in a day and traditional pet memorial websites feel surprisingly impersonal and only offer the basics: a name, a few photo and dates, and a short message. Your pet becomes a dot, surrounded by thousands of others with the same names and similar stories. There is never enough space — or the right format — to capture who they really were.

Our pets' story deserves better than that — a real place, made just for them, that you can return to whenever you need to remember, and share with everyone who loved them too. It deserves the funny stories you never want to forget. The strange little habits that made them unique. The places and the people they loved, the things they were afraid of, and the moments that still make you smile. It deserves room for grief, reflection, gratitude, and everything in between. Remembering a pet isn't just about documenting that they existed. It's about remembering how they lived, how they changed your life, and what made them irreplaceable.
